It is with great pleasure that the Municipality of Milan hosts this anthological exhibition of the American artist, Robert Indiana. The exhibition is the first to be held in a public space in Italy for many years and offers a representative selection of works dating from the '50s up to the present day, which trace the development of the American artist's career.
In addition to the 60 works presented at PAC- Pavilion of Contemporary Art, an additional 12 monumental sculptures are being presented in several public spaces in the heart of Milan: Piazza della Scala, Piazzetta Reale and along Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The complete series of Indiana's "Ten Numbers" will be on view. These exhibitions in various public spaces allow the citizens to come into direct contact with Indiana's art and invite us to learn more about this fascinating artist. ... [it] is an international cultural opportunity of the highest level.
