Galerie Gmurzynska is honored to be part of the Amsterdam Sculpture Biennial ARTZUID 2023 and to present Karel Appel's vibrant masterpiece, "Head on a Chair." Taking place from 20 May – 24 September, the 8th edition of ARTZUID is curated by Jasper Krabbé.
ARTZUID is the leading Sculpture Biennale of the Netherlands. Every two years, 50 high-profile sculptures are exhibited for four months on the green lanes of Amsterdam Zuid. Its mission is to create a new meeting place on the street with a museum-quality selection of sculptures and to make art accessible to everyone free of charge.
